Riley Rossetti, LSCSW

Riley is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) with a Master's Degree from The University of Kansas, which she earned in 2023. Riley also graduated from The University of Kansas in 2022 with two Bachelor's degrees, one in Social Work and the second in General Studies Psychology with a minor in Applied Behavioral Sciences.
Along with working part-time at KMG Play Therapy, Riley also works full-time as a care coordinator for children on the SED Waiver. Riley has specialized in working with children for over 10 years, with five of those years dedicated to mental health services. She has experience intervening during crisis, providing therapy in nontraditional settings, and navigating systems to advocate for the needs of clients and their families. Riley uses play-based approaches with younger children and plans to pursue Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credentials.
Riley specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She believes that building a strong therapeutic relationship through trust and rapport is essential to providing effective services to children and their families. Riley utilizes a holistic lens to ensure that all aspects of a client's and family's needs are considered. She incorporates strengths-based and person-centered approaches to help clients recognize their strengths, develop new skills, and thrive.
Riley may also have her certified therapy dog, Oakley, present during sessions when appropriate and when clients and families are comfortable with her presence. Oakley has been a therapy dog since 2021 and has accompanied Riley in both community mental health and school-based settings. She has completed two levels of basic obedience training, earned her American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen certification, and successfully completed a therapy dog assessment.
Oakley has become a meaningful part of Riley's work as a therapist over the years, and Riley has seen firsthand the comfort, connection, and positive energy that a dog can bring to a therapeutic environment. Oakley's presence is not a therapy modality or treatment intervention, and her involvement is never required. Whether Oakley is present is determined on a case-by-case basis based on the client's individual needs, the therapeutic environment, and the client's and family's comfort level.

Private pay rate 50 minute individual sessions are $100 per session
