Laura Dickinson Graduate Intern
Pursuing M.S. in Counseling Psychology

I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice/Criminology.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Counseling through Avila University.

I primarily work through the lens of Child Centered Play Therapy and Attachment Theory. I have worked at a child development center with children ages 6 and under for the last 4 years, utilizing child-centered principles and fostering social-emotional development. 

I am a therapy intern receiving individual supervision through Kallie Gettinger, LSCSW, RPT-S and group supervision weekly through Avila University. 

I look forward to working with children and their families to help children feel accepted and learn to trust themselves!

Ages and Availability

• 3 - 10 year olds and their families

• Limited daytime and evening availability beginning in September 2025

Pay rates

• I am unable to accept insurance at this time

• Intern pay rates $30 per 50 minute session
